Helping to “Tackle Reading” Plus a Book Signing Update

I am pleased to have contributed a chapter to Kathryn Starke’s forthcoming book Tackle Reading. Contributors include NFL players, literacy leaders, authors, celebrities, and educators to promote quality reading instruction for all children. My chapter focused on “Making Facts Fun: Using Nonfiction in the Classroom.”

This resource will be donated to inner city elementary schools nationwide. Your purchase of a shirt gives a child the gift of reading! The Tackle Reading tour will kick off with the book in the Fall of 2016! To learn more about this project and purchase a T-shirt to support it, visit this link.
